Sandy

I am thankful every day for the Catholic education that I received. I firmly believe that if more schools went back to teaching and yes, testing, the world would be a more educated, if not better, place. I get so tired of teachers complaining about "teaching to the test". The nuns did it all the time and we were constantly tested. If you failed, you failed. I also loved that all of our lessons were intertwined. In 4th grade, for instance, we learned about Indians. We read about Indians, we studied Indians in history class, we wrote compositions about Indians in English class, we studied the maps of the Indian nations in geography. In short, we studied the Indians!

I do think the world needs to have another look.
