Deacon Tim recently had a difficult discussion with a family member who was offended that he thought that the Catholic Church offered universal truth. In this week's podcast we explore this question: If you belong to a church, shouldn't you think that it holds universal truth? Isn't that precisely the point? Yet, this does not mean that an honest dialogue cannot occur among people of different religions. Hopefully, this podcast will inspire you not to shy away from these delicate, but important, conversations.

Great topic! And something I think everyone should listen to. I think this type of thinking has invaded our daily lives and can be difficult to combat. Thanks for doing this.

Just found you, will follow for content.
I do find something missing in all the relationships that seem to exclude God and concentrate only on the son. Believing in the Trinity I find myself addressing God most often. Maybe this is the chasm that often exists with those of other faiths who address Allah or other titles of God.
Not a deal breaker but a frequent thought.
Another is the coviction of so many who have good luck, things go their way, etc. who thank God, or more often Jesus. I'm perplexed since I don't blame God for either my bad luck or happenstances why I should feel he has singled me out for the good luck in life To me it's all life. To be lived in a way accordance with my faith system with an acceptance of the good and the bad.
Right now there is too much good, so my worry is I may not be sharing it enough.
