The Pope Sounds an Alarm

In the Catholic Church, there are issues of grave importance which will cause the Pope to speak to his flock, and this document is called an "encyclical".  This summer, Pope Benedict delivered one that was quite different - he was sounding an alarm, warning the world about the opportunities and dangers of the clean-up of the aftermath of our global economic troubles.  I think his admonition deserves our attention!

Detachment

The quality of detachment......often it has a negative connotation, but Deacon Tim and I talk about detachment as a good thing, as in, "to be in the world, but not of the world."  But, here we find ourselves, in this world of stuff - just how does one detach himself and move into the realm of the spirit?  We hope this podcast offers you some direction and inspiration!
