The Power of the Church

As Catholics, we don't just attend church because we like the music or the preaching - we believe that real power has been given to the Church.  Deacon Tim outlines the Scriptures which support this idea, but in a nutshell, here are the references:  Mark 16, John 20:21-23, James 5, John 6, Matthew 16, Matthew 10, and Luke 10:16.  Dive in!

Episode 100- The Light of a Saint

The saints......one of our favorite topics!  For a Catholic, we believe that the "great cloud of witnesses" (Hebrews 12:1) which surrounds us are an active force, interceding in prayer for us.  Deacon Tim had the privilege of learning from a man whom he knows was a saint, whose impact on his life was profound.  Yet, as Deacon Tim tells us, his saintly friend was rather ordinary, and in this podcast, we learn what it takes to be a saint, too.

How Do You See Jesus?

This podcast, based on I John 2:29 - 3:6, is multi-faceted, just like the Scripture itself.  When I read it, I saw the absolutes it presented:  if you are righteous, you are begotten by God.  If you sin, you have not seen God.  This led Deacon Tim to ask the question, "How do YOU see Jesus?"  Deacon Tim wants you to answer in the comments section!
