I have always respected the Catholic Church's stance on homosexuality. Basically, it's to be dealt with just as any other sexual sin: chastity. When approached in this way, it can lead to holiness, as evidenced by the members of a group called Courage. Deacon Tim and I both have been very affected by the Christian heroes of this group, and I think you should know more about this movement. If you know someone struggling with homosexuality, please refer them to Courage website.

Dear Tim and Cyndi,
My heart goes out to those who have been abused as children and to those who are struggling with ssa.
Your topic brings to mind another big topic that I would love to hear you two speak on.
Anger with God.
I know when I have gone thru very hard circumstances I have had to deal with anger toward God. I would imagine that others have felt this way too.
Perhaps some day you can talk about this subject.

Dear Tim and Cyndi,
Read Tim's post on Courage On-Line Bible Study and took him up on the invitation.
It was very moving to hear the comments of an outsider. Somewhat odd having someone else describe what we are going through.
Aside from striving for a chaste life, most of us in Courage and COL are striving for a much more personal level with God. For me this group has been a saving Grace from God.
A note to Miz Booshay: Anger with God is something we also deal with in Courage.

I look forward to reading/hearing more... At first glance to your post, I say I agree.
Donna, I have found that anger with God can be dealt with in a very humbling way by regularly reading the psalms... now there were people who really and truly struggled with their anger towards God. Same with Job... they expressed it to him. They never stopped pleading with him and telling him their thoughts but what they didn't do was remove him from the picture. They spoke to God and they listened to him and in the end there is always redemption and inexpressible peace with their creator and lover of their souls.

Interesting podcast. (what is the difference between a podcast and a webcast?)
Donna- It is worth noting, that the Torah Hebrew word for anger is ka'as and can be translated either anger or sorrow. It is significant that the two are interchangeable.
Let's not forget Ecclesiastes 7:3

Thank you Linda.
That is very interesting that sorrow and anger are translated the same.
And the Bible verse. I have never read that verse.
Thank you for pointing it out.
