False Prophecy

For the last two weeks, we've talked about prophecy and how it is still relevant today.  Yet, how do we know what or whom to believe?  As one of our listeners pointed out last week, a true prophet will be right 100% of the time, and that's true, but we can only detect that from the rear view mirror.  What about discerning truth as it happening real time?  Fortunately for a Catholic, nothing is left to chance in the spiritual realm.  In this podcast, Deacon Tim tells us how Catholics are instructed to discern truth.

Modern Day Prophet - You?

Prophets- Yesterday and Today

This week's podcast may be my personal favorite to date, perhaps because it made me think about my Christian mission in a completely new way.  Deacon Tim informs me that we are all called to be prophets.....huh?  Really?  To understand this, you'll probably need to shift your definition of "prophet" a bit, so you'll probably need to listen to the podcast!  This week's podcast will lay the groundwork for your new role as prophet by introducing you to the great ones of the Old Testament.

A Modern Manger Scene

For the past couple of weeks, Deacon Tim has been haunted by a scene he witnessed in the grocery store, then last week, it was confirmed by an article in Newsweek.  Yet, over the weekend, his hope was renewed when he witnessed what he calls "a modern manger scene."  This podcast is a reminder that, like our Savior, we are to be a sign of contradiction in the world.  Boy, does this world need us.
