There are many different types of conversion, and Tim tells a very personal story today of his son Dan, who went from a troubled youth to an on-fire Catholic. An inspiring story, a living testament to the truth of "Train up a child in the way that he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
Tim also tells about his experience in New York with Pope Benedict, and Cyndi has an observation about modern worship. Lots to think about in this podcast!

Have I mentioned lately, that I love that Deacon Tim and Cyndi are two of the most upbeat, positive souls I know. It is what keeps me coming back....Good Job!

I'm a little late, but I listened to this podcast as I was driving into work today. It was wonderful!
When I was younger I often struggled with the fact that I had never had that "lightbulb coming on" experience like many of my friends had. As long as I could remember I had believed in and known Christ. Thank you for blessing us with you encouraging words!
Speaking of Pope Benedict XVI, in his address to US Bishops he said some wonderful things about the family. My pastor quoted him on his blog. It's too much for me to type up, but here's the permanent link:

Hi,
I've been here before and decided to stop in while I was working in my office at home. I especially appreciated and the very personal story of Deacon Tim and Cyndi's expression of her feelings about high tech youth type goings on in churches today. Cyndi's comments echo my own nearly exactly. In my beautiful church we have a special mass on Sunday evenings, the "youth" mass. I can't even attend any longer because it has become a "how loud can you bang that tambourine" type of affair. It's very distracting to say the least. I know, I sound cranky, but I'm only writing to say thanks for the listening pleasure. Speaking of... I so enjoy your voice, Cyndi and Deacon Tim commands attention with his gentle yet assured tone. Thanks! I'm going to subscribe to the feed.
Blessings,
Katrina
